Zeytun - Fan
A brief product design project of creating a fan from up-cycled materials. The incentive of my design is in reproducing my love of the Mediterranean breeze - in creating a minimal fan that embodies olive trees and cools the user with an indirect breeze.
The base of the fan, representing the olive, was a recycled IKEA pot. Inside of the fan I used and repainted an old fan. The upper ‘leaf’ part, representing reused olive wood, redirects the air towards the user. Foam pads added on the bottom to provide airflow from holes drilled into the IKEA pot. While a small 3D printed hook was created to match the curve of the leaf.
