Short Course Review: University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martin

In August on a beautiful rainy summer week in London, I attended the Contemporary Art Exhibition & Event Management short course from the University of the Arts London (UAL), in the famed Central Saint Martins campus. As I didn’t find any reviews of the short courses at UAL, I am writing this as a brief summary and opinion on the exhibitions visited.

Exhibiting Amouage Perfume bottles at the National Museum of Oman

In February 2023, following a collaboration between the National Museum of Oman and Amouage [1], our Exhibition Design team received a collection of 5 historic perfume bottles dating back to 1983 & 1931 CE from the first released of Amouage Perfumery called Amouage Gold (for men and women).

Making an Arabic In-N-Out logo

I was allured with the logo’s simple typography and colours. And seeing how closely resembles my favourite Arabic font, Kufi, I thought it was a nice little challenge to try and Arabise it.

Why does most Japanese clipart look the same? [free illustrations source]

If you have ever visited Japan (or like me, interested in various random aspects within Japan and other countries), you’ll start noticing that most, if not all, Japanese clipart or illustrations look the same. Up to the point one could guess that the Japanese Government has standardized the art style to use all over.

However, the simple answer is that all those illustrations are made by a single person: Mifuni Takashi.
